What i’m doing in the half term!!!

Hi, I’m telling you about the fun and stuff i’m going to do over half term.First i’m going to cadbury world on Sunday 19th Febuary 2012 it will be so much fun!I am also going golfing with my brother.I am also going to the wax works in blackpool.And that is all of the fun that i’m going to have over half term.

Light is at once both obvious and mysterious. We are bathed in yellow warmth every day and stave off the darkness with incandescent and fluorescent bulbs. But what exactly is light? We catch glimpses of its nature when a sunbeam angles through a dust-filled room, when a rainbow appears after a storm or when a drinking straw in a glass of water looks disjointed. These glimpses, however, only lead to more questions. Does light travel as a wave, a ray o

r a stream of particles? Is it a single color or many colors mixed together? Does it have a frequency like sound? And what are some of the common properties of light, such as absorption, reflection, refraction and diffraction?

We need light to be able to see what we are doing in our daily tasks.

Sound is important to us,we need to be able to hear traffic as we are crossing the road.

Hearing is vital within our daily life,

The perception of sound in any organism is limited to a certain range of frequencies. For humans, hearing is normally limited to frequencies between about 20 hz and 20,000 Hz (20 khz)[3], although these limits are not definite. The upper limit generally decreases with age. Other species have a different range of hearing. For example, dogs can perceive vibrations higher than 20 kHz, but are deaf to anything below 40 Hz. As a signal perceived by one of the major senses, sound is used by many species for detecting danger, navigation, predation, and communication. Earth’s atmosphere, water, and virtually any physical phenomenon, such as fire, rain, wind, surf, or earthquake, produces (and is characterized by) its unique sounds. Many species, such as frogs, birds, marine and terrestrial mammals, have also developed special organs to produce sound. In some species, these produce song and speech. Furthermore, humans have developed culture and technology (such as music, telephone and radio) that allows them to generate, record, transmit, and broadcast sound. The scientific study of human sound perception is known as psychoacoustics.

Dear Mr. Dow,

I am writing to persuade you to keep playtime.

Most people would agree that we should keep playtime because people like me don’t want to do controlled exercise! Only a fool would think that we should stop playtime and agree with the letter because you shouldn’t stop trips either. What about when you was a child? Just because that parent had a horrible childhood it doesn’t mean you can make our childhood horrible!

Anchorsholme is supposed to be an healthy school even if we do have exercise, if you do stop playtime we were using our minds when we were playing. However we don’t want controlled exercise like in China! Healthy is about relaxing as well and it isn’t being healthy sitting in a chair for six hours learning. We can get stressed and it isn’t healthy for our brains.

In addition we come to school to learn and have fun but if we don’t have playtime school will be boring and lots of people will move school and you won’t get paid a lot of money and the teachers wont either. All of the teachers need to relax to because they can’t teach all day because they might need the toilet!

In conclusion most people would prefer to have playtime and trips than longer lessons and no trips as well as controlled exercise.

what i’ve been going in the summer holidays

on friday when we brook up;i went to my cusens 21 birthday party in mancherster and slepped at my auntie kims house.
on saturday;i stayed at my auntie kims house and went to my grandad harrys house then went home.
on sunday;i stayed at home and went to currys and pc world to buy a 3-d tv it is great and a macdonald it was fun.
on monday; i went to my grandma’s house and did lods of baking like making scones,choclate fudge cup cakes,choclate cookies they were delicous then we went to the park around the corner.
on tuesday;i went to my grrandmas house and did more baking they were sherbet lemon and strawberry cupcakes scrummy.
on wednesday;i went to my grandma’s house again and went to stanly park with my cousen and my brother we went on the boats and train we had a marvoulous day till we had to go home.
on thursday;i went to bonse ice cream with my grandma grandad and cousen and brother then my cousen kelsey sleeped over at my house.
on friday; i went shopping at tesco with my grand parents cousen and brother on got hollewen things sweets on choclate apple delicouse.
on saturday; i went to my caravan in north wales with my family on friend hollie we also went on the fun fair ond the market and macdonalds and went to the hallower party at night and went trick or treating it was so fun.
on sunday; i went home and had a macdonalds and a lazy day relaxing.
on monday; i went to my grandmas we had a game day it was so fun then at night we went trick or treating i got lots of sweets yummy.
on tuesday; it was my grandma’s and grandads anniversary and i went to the sand castle and i sure lots of people from anchorsholme i went on every ride and i went with my friend hollie gilby we had a great time.And that was all of my half turm.
on wednesday;BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my half term i went to my dads and helped at work on the sunday i went to an halloween party on the northe pier!!!on monday (Halloween!) i stayed in then i went to a halloween party at the golden eagle and my mum got bored so i went trick or treating:) on the tuesday i went to freeport and went to next,claires and marks and spencers on wednesday i went back to school!!!!!!!!!!! on the day before sunday on the saturday jessica came to my house and we went on are laptops together!

On Tuesday 23rd of October on a warm autumn day, Harry was walking wickedly slow, through the forest of fallen leaves, whilst whistling a song that he will never forget. He started to walk down a very steep hill, when he spotted a brown pile of sticks in the distance and he was sure that he could see a door amongst the broken furry sticks covered with layers of autumn leaves and conkers, he stopped to take a closer look and was astonished to see a very big dark green hand, he couldn’t wait to find out who the hand belonged to, then he was startled by a noise above him, it was coming from the tree behind him, a rustling and pecking sound, he took a step back towards the tree when a great big green thing appeared from the sticks, Harry hid in the bush at the side, carefully trying not to let the big green thing hear me shaking. The green thing thumped towards the tree and put out his great big green arm, with a huge hand to touch the bird, which was a woodpecker, Harry wasn’t interested in the bird any more, what was this big green thing?? “Hhhhhello” says Harry to the green thing “Wwwwhat are you? “ “I’m an ogre” the ogre said in a croaky voice. Harry was so frightened that he tried to run but he tripped over a rock and started to cry, then shrek picked him up and dried his tears “thank you” said Harry “I’m just a friendly ogre” said Shrek and he smiled.
